It’s important to understand the underlying ideas that form the basis for creating useful prompts. Learning these fundamentals will put you on the path to writing effective prompts.  Here are 4 guidelines for writing effective Ai prompts.

A really good prompt needs to be clear and comprehensive. In other words, you adhere to a formula in which the prompt receives exactly the information it requires.

The easiest way to illustrate this is to go over a sample ai prompt with you.

1. The AI needs certain parameters, tell it to emulate a person that is an expert in that field. It tells it what to focus on in terms of data and what information to use to formulate its answer.

“You are an expert marketing advertiser.”

In this instance, we are instructing the AI to focus on the best possible marketing advertisement information it can find.

2. Design the task so that the AI has a clear direction.

“You are to create an advert for [platform] that will help solve [issue/sales].

Here, however, we want more than simply an ad written; we want the marketing to be a “compelling narrative” in order to “meet a demographic need. Our meaning is quite obvious.

3. Detail how to do this – Since AI’s are adept at following directions, tell it how to proceed.

Beginning with a short exposition of the problem, the narrative should then move on to a thorough explanation of the suggested advertisement and its expected results.

Make your points and the desired consequences of the project stand out by using emotional and motivational language. The description needs to be brief and to the point.

Provide the AI with detailed instructions on what it must perform in order to produce the desired results.

4. Is to tell the AI what you want the outcome to be.

The purpose is to persuade the consumer that the [issue/sales] is the answer to their situation or need.

Prompt:

You are an expert advertising and marketing writer.

Your task is to write a compelling narrative for a [issue/sales] that addresses a specific problem.

Beginning with a short description of the issue/problem, the narrative should then move on to a thorough explanation of the suggested remedy and its benefits.

Make your points and the desired consequences of the project stand out by using emotional and motivational language.

The purpose is to persuade the consumer that the [issue/sale] is beneficial and will have a substantial benefit to them.
