Facebook LIVE is already one of the best ways to get your video stream in front of your audience. Not surprisingly, Facebook posted on their blog that Facebook LIVE streams are up 1.5 more this year so far, over the last year, 2017.

With the new updates being rolled out on Facebook LIVE any day now, an exciting feature in testing is the ability to rewind excerpts of the video.  Awesomeness!

The main features rolled out last week include a crossposting feature to multiple pages at the same time, as we did earlier in April, at Revival Alliance conference and put Live videos on 5 pages simultaneously.  So, if you own multiple facebook pages, and would like to post the native video live on these sites, you can now share the original Facebook Live rather than a shared version from one site.  Hopefully, this should increase the reach of larger audiences easier.

A second feature which is very welcome as a LIVE feature is the “persistent stream”. There are definitely times that we all experience dropped video and what a circus we to have to go through and restart and get a new streaming key.  Now with persistent streaming, if your feed has a problem and you start a new stream, you can use the same persistent stream key and restart very quickly and easily so your audience doesn’t miss any of your programmings!

As we mentioned earlier Facebook Live rewind is being tested and should be available soon. Both Vimeo and Youtube have had this feature for a long time and it’s great to see Facebook playing catch up with video sharing.
