Fill in these 5 sample questions to help build your plan.
- What channels are you on? Facebook? Instagram? Twitter? TikTok? Snapchat? Begin by concentrating on only one social media site.
Before you do something else, double-check that the channel is applicable to your target audience.
Then look at how the viewers interact with the channel:
Who is my customer base?
What sorts of individuals and enterprises do they patronize?
What type of material do they engage with?
This is a significant move because it will decide how effective this social networking platform will be for you.
- What are my objectives? Make a list of objectives. This entails deciding which metrics you’ll use to chart engagement and, eventually, performance (remember, avoid vanity metrics). Make short-term (1-3 months) as well as long-term (6-12 months) priorities such that you have a consistent path to follow.
My short-term priorities (1-3 months) are as follows:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
My long-term objectives (6 to 12 months) are as follows:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- What kind of material will I be sharing? Consider what kind of content you’ll share and what your brand voice will be depending on the knowledge you learned in step one. You would want to create a brand-style guide that spells it out. Your style guide should match your marketing schedule, and it’s also a good thing to have a backlog of pre-planned content ready to go so you don’t have to always come up with new content.
The four core topics I will post about are:
1. __________________________________________________________________
2. __________________________________________________________________
3. __________________________________________________________________
4. __________________________________________________________________
The voice of my company is:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
THE VOICE OF MY BRAND IS NOT:
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- How often will I change my blog? Build a content schedule that is consistent and straightforward. This level of accuracy is important, so it’s something to consider when developing a social media marketing strategy. Your fans will not only trust you more if you keep a daily calendar, but they will also continue to see material from you at specific times.
What kind of content will I publish every day?
I’ll write on Monday…
I’ll write on Tuesday…
I’ll write on Wednesday…
I’ll write on Thursday…
I’ll write on Friday…
I’ll write on Saturday…
I’ll write on Sunday…
- How can I assess my progress? Review your social media marketing efforts on a regular basis. If you’re not having interaction or meeting your goals, you’ll need to change your strategy. This is why setting concrete, achievable targets is so important: you’ll easily see what’s working and what isn’t. You should also set aside some time to reconsider this plan in a few months, as your approach and priorities will shift once you begin generating material.
