Instagram Image posts
Basically there are 3 types of photos, graphical posts.
Landscape Image
The Landscape image taken with a long horizontal edge, that does not fill the screen like a square image. Generally, this image is used to show a panoramic shot or something that needs a wide frame.
Recommended Landscape posts size is 1200 x 628 pixels.

Maximum image size is 30MB

Instagram Square images
As the name suggests, this is a square image that fills the screen space nicely, and often used for selfies, portraits and actual sales Ads.
Recommended Square size is 1080 x 1080
The minimum size for a square photo is 600 x 600
And any size between 600 and 1080 works providing it is a 1:1 aspect ratio
Vertical Instagram image
One of the most popular sizes is the portrait or vertical image. Just point and shoot your cell phone and this image will fill the Instagram screen.
Recommended Vertical size is 1080 x 1350 pixels
With an aspect ratio of 4:5.
Video posts on Instagram.
Instagrammers love videos! In fact, more than 25% of all posts are videos on Instagram.
There are again 3 types of video style posts.
Landscape Video
The common 9 X 16 format giving a cinematic feel to the video is very common but usually makes the user turn the mobile onto its side to fill the screen.
The video landscape resolution in 600 x 315 pixels
An important note with video is the length – as the maximum time is 120 seconds (2 minutes)
Ideally, the video should be either .mov or .mp4
The Maximum frames is 30 frames per second.
Maximum video size for either mp4 or mov is 4 GB
Square Video Instagram posts
Basically this is the same size as the Sq posts 1080 x 1080.
Technically the aspect ratio is 1:1
Vertical Video Instagram post
Usually taken with a cell phone held vertically – Duh!
This creates a longer vertical video post often used for interviews, selfie stories and sharing with friends.
Vertical Video resolution is 600 x 750
Aspect Ratio is 4:5
